CEREC stands for Ceramic Reconstruction which is a sophisticated system of designing and creating high quality, metal-free dental restorations in a single patient visit.
Developed by Sirona, CEREC utilizes 3D photography and CAD/CAM technology to assist Dr. Arauz in designing a virtual restoration (temporary crown for your implant) without taking impressions. When combined with a milling unit this technology is able to build the actual temporary crown while you are still in the chair. We are excited to offer this level of technology as a periodontal office. This technology streamlines the restoration process with your general dentist, decreasing the number of visits necessary to complete your treatment.
